RED MILL MUSIC AND ARTS EVENT

SATURDAY 5TH AUGUST 2006

The whole event will be in the garden of Red Mill, an Historic Grade II Listed Wind Pump formerly for draining the marshes. Set on the Norfolk Broads surrounded by wildlife in a spectacular and unique location and commanding panoramic views and adjacent to the River Yare

Events are being organized for Saturday from 3pm to 9pm and to include:

• live soul and blues pianists and vocalists on river bank for a one hour set
• live acoustic one hour set
• live string quartet for a two hour set
• bbq and refreshments will be available
• art exhibition from a dozen local artists in the mill and marquee
• original Punch and Judy show
• seating for everyone
• free to tour and inspect this Historic Grade II Listed Mill
• pass the parcel and tug of war for children
• other games for children to be confirmed
• use of a periscope to inspect the horizons
• cream teas will be available
• professional photographer available
• surrounded by birds and wildlife and the beautiful River Yare
• bring a rug and watch it all from the river bank
• open to all, children welcome but must be accompanied by parents
• stay and watch the sun set

Tickets are Limited and priced at £11 each adult, children £3 each, admission by prepaid ticket only. The whole event will be under cover in the case of bad weather.

RED MILL ART BREAKS

The Norfolk Broads are an area of outstanding natural beauty, ideal for an art break to take in the peaceful surroundings and beautiful panoramic views. In the midst of large open spaces, green marshes, flowing waterways, wide horizons, abundant wildlife and blazing sunrises and sunsets, Red Mill is perfectly placed and immediately available for long weekends. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by the resident artist, and excursions to the marshes and nearby seaside will be organised as part of a series of workshops designed to suit a variety of skills and tastes. Following a successful first run in spring 2006, bookings are now being taken for all weekends in September 2006, for up to six adults at prices from £150 per person.
