Getting to Val d'Isère:

FLYING

The nearest airports to fly to Val D`Isere are Chambery, Lyon or Geneva.

Geneva to Val will take around 2½ to 3 hours Connection

Lyon to Val will take around 2½ to3 hours Connection

Chambery to Val will take around 1½ to 2 hour Connection

These times depend on your driving and traffic conditions!

Connections from the Airport can be by either Hiring a Car, taking a taxi, catching a Coach or arrange for a Helicopter!

TRAIN

These have to be booked very early in advance. Tickets go on sale in July/August and sell out fast.

Both services run from December to middle of April.

Eurostar can be boarded at Waterloo or Ashford International. Standard tickets are a comfortable upright seat, first class are a more comfortable reclining seat.

Snow Train includes a couchette (six Berth).

DRIVING

This is very straight forward and clearly marked. It is a long drive and is best done with two or three drivers sharing. Recommend Snow Chains for the last few miles dependent on weather.

Car Parking in Val d`Isere can be found at a price. Traffic wardens seem to like giving cars tickets but you may be lucky and receive a warning for the first time. There is no car parking with the apartment. There are several Public Car Parks around the town and the average costs will be around £10 to £15 per day. There is a large free car park between La Daille and Val d`Isere on the right as you head into Val. Parking around the town out of the ski season is a lot easier but obviously depends on what is happening around the town.

SKI PASS

If you take an old Ski Pass with you up to 3 year old. This will entitle you to a discount off your new Pass. You will need a Photo, so take one with you.
